Join us for our weekly adult formation zoom class touching on the natural connections of our spiritual connection with our Creator.

Immerse yourself in the lives of modern contemplatives like Howard Thurman, Simone Weil, Thomas Merton, Nicholas Black Elk, Thich Nhat Hanh, and more. From a variety of religions, cultures, and backgrounds, each forged a way in this wild modern world–and were drawn into the spacious love that envelops us all. Learn how to follow your own holy longings through the example of those in your own lifetime

Tonight’s class will feature the conclusion of our discussion on Mary Oliver.
Learn about the most well-known modern American Poet, Mary Oliver.  Beloved for her vulnerability, sense of everyday wonder and intimacy with the natural world. Mary Oliver was empathic, a deep listener, loved solitude, and was very private, but transparent in her writing. She was also an outspoken LGBTQ, and social justice advocate.

Guided by Ken Hood …
After more than twenty years as a progressive pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), Ken now leads what some refer to as a portfolio life serving as a leadership and spirituality coach, poet, speaker, artist, very part-time pastor, and retreat leader. He earned his M.Div at Princeton Theological Seminary and his D.Min at Duke Divinity School where he also taught spirituality and leadership to doctoral students for 10 years. Splitting his time between Portland, OR. and the Oregon Coast, Ken is beyond grateful to be living amidst the beauty and wonder of the Pacific Northwest
